Down in Lagos

Down in Lagos where police brutality is a festering disease
To be a youth means to be marked with a sentence of death

So wrap yourself in the armor of courage, dip your flag in blood
Carry your heavy bodies through the dirty and sleelpess streets

Watch them fire on the innocent until the innocent can’t breathe
And if you’re lucky to find your way back home tonight, speak up

Speak up tomorrow until the tiny fibers in your lungs are sore
Let your unified voice knock them back and known them down

Keep knocking until you’re pounding on the President’s door
